Introducing Jed Mildon and the Jumpflex® Athletes!

Here at Jumpflex, we love anything that makes your heart race. We love action sports and pushing ourselves to the limit!

Our founders Matt and Stephen Tubbs live and breathe our motto "play for life". They love hitting the snow or surf to go snowboarding or wakeboarding. Matt also loves V8 racing and Stephen's perfected his backflipping on our Flexboard!

So it just made sense for us to sponsor young athletes to help them reach their full potential.

We're super proud to present the... Jumpflex® Athletes Programme. Mentored by none other than Jed Mildon!

Jed Mildon

Jed (AKA the first person in the world to do a quad backflip on a BMX bike) is an awesome BMX rider from Taupo who has been riding for over 20 years!  In 2013 he even started riding for Nitro Circus. We are beyond excited to have him repping the Jumpflex brand and literally bringing our motto “play for life” to life!!

Jumpflex Athletes Programme

Now Jed & Jumpflex have teamed up with a shared passion for progression and the nurturing of young action sports stars in NZ.

The aim of the Jumpflex Athletes Programme is to equip young athletes with the mindset and tools necessary to ‘play for life’.

With Jed's experience in the action sports industry and his drive to live passionately, this makes him the ultimate mentor for our Jumpflex athletes. Jed loves helping people achieve new things, dream big and reach their goals.

Jumpflex® MegaTron Truck

The thing about Jed is you have to be careful what you wish for. His crazy ideas start off as ideas on napkins and then do come to life! We're about to reveal to you one of Jed’s best napkin ideas.

So let us present to you…  the MegaTron!

Jed has been on a mission. Jed and @mrx_nz have spent 4 months converting this Mitsubishi Shogan into something EPIC - a portable one stop shop BMX set up.

Good thing Jed’s actually a structural welder by trade. The truck is fitted with a hydraulic roll-in tower extending to 8m high complete with take-off ramp and airbag landing.

It’s such a beast - the truck was SO big that Jed needed to get a class 4 truck drivers license.

It is the ultimate one-stop shop as BMX riders don’t need a tow in for speed, making shows way more accessible. The truck will even have beds, kitchen and lounge for the complete set up (a home away from home!).

Check out its debut at the Kumeu Classic Car and Hot Rod show held on 15 January! It’s not completely finished, all it needs now is some epic branding and it’ll be good to go!



The Jumpflex truck is a dream come true as Jumpflex take ‘play for life’ to the next level!

Nitro Circus

In 2013 Travis Pastrana’s Nitro Circus came to New Zealand and recruited Jed for the NZ tour. From there he made such a powerful impact on the Nitro Family that he was instantly signed to the world tour. He has now racked up over 300 live shows all over the world.

We are so stoked to be partnering with Nitro Circus and to be a major sponsor for the NZ tour in November.
